Annemade was launched in December 2020 during the height of the pandemic after, like so many others, I was laid off from my corporate job. I have been a fine art painter for decades and decided it was time to create some fun and functional merchandise from some of my pieces. I started out small, selling online a few note cards, coasters, and prints. By the fall of 2021, I received and completed multiple commissions, became a member of Made in NYC, won a New York City Artists Corps grant, and was selling a wide range of products in person at the Grand Bazaar, New York City’s largest curated weekly market.

Currently, I am working on a commission from Columbus Amsterdam BID to paint outdoors on site as part of NYC Open Streets.

I have a BA in art and an MFA in painting. I work in oil, watercolor, pen, marker, and colored pencil. I draw and paint NYC:  you will find me drawing all over the city and painting in oils with my French easel in my neighborhood of Morningside Heights.  You can see my latest art on Instagram here.

Drawing and painting NYC connects me to the beauty and energy of this city and is a personal meditation on what it means to be alive and present in one of the greatest cities in the world. I hope my art inspires you.
